Finally, we are up and running. Let me warn you - this blogging is very new to me and I am a bit uncertain of how it all works. So please be patient and if you have any comments or advice, do share!
Our first reading selection was THE HELP By Kathryn Stockett.

I LOVED reading The Help! It truly was one of my all time favorite reads :)
I found The Help to be very eye opening. It was also written in an interesting style, through the eyes of several women instead of just one narrator. Great book!
I agree Tammy! I fell in love with the characters - there was something in each of them that I could relate to as women. I have a high schooler who has had a lot of required reading that personally I would never have recommended for her (for a variety of reasons!). I would love to see THE HELP at the top of the reading list.
I really enjoyed this book. Not my regular material, but I'm glad about that too. Each character was brought to life with such detail, you felt you knew each one.
My husband actually read it too, although it isn't what he normally reads either. He loved it.
Deanna, That's great that you stepped out of the box in reading style and found something you enjoyed. I also love that your husband read the same book!
